A really exciting project in 2021-22 was finishing a new education module for NZ classrooms, all about marine biosecurity.
While land based biosecurity is very well understood both at home and out in the world, marine biosecurity is a much less understood field - but equally as important.
Working with my graphic designer, we turned scientific concepts into stories and pictures that were visually appealing and compelling. The unit is aligned with the NZ curriculum and thanks to long periods of home-schooling during the pandemic years, I was able to help customise it to ensure it would be easy to use and flexible for teachers to take and run with.
